How do I hide my Instagram activity status?

By default, any person we follow on Instagram or to whom we have sent messages in the past can check whether we are currently or how long ago we were online.

Our activity is recorded both in the Instagram application and after logging in via a web browser. If you care about privacy and do not want information about your activity to be displayed to other people, you can change the settings at any time.

In the case of a mobile application, it looks like this:

  1. From your profile page, open the Menu in the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Click as follows: Settings, Privacy, Activity status.
  3. Move the blue slider to turn your active status on or off.

If you choose to hide your activity status, remember that this works both ways - You also won't be able to see the status of your followers or with whom you had a conversation. If there is neither a green dot nor the last login time in the Instagram chat next to the user's photo, it means that the user has turned off his activity status.
